【摘要】:Thistestmethodisforestimatingtherelativeamountofgammaaluminaincalcinedcatalystsamples,assumingthattheX-raypowderdiffractionpeakoccurringatabout67x00B0;2x03B8;isattributabletogammaalumina.Gammaaluminaisdefinedasatransitionaluminaformedafterheatingintherangefrom500to550x00B0;C,andmayincludeformsdescribedintheliteratureaseta,chi,andgammaaluminas.Deltaaluminahasadiffractionpeakinthesameregion,butisformedabove850x00B0;C,atemperaturetowhichmostcatalystsofthistypearenotheated.Thereareotherpossiblecomponentswhichmaycausesomeinterference,suchasalpha-quartzandzeoliteY,aswellasaluminum-containingspinelsformedatelevatedtemperatures.Ifthepresenceofinterferingmaterialissuspected,thediffractionpatternshouldbeexaminedingreaterdetail.Moresignificantinterferencemaybecausedbythepresenceoflargeamountsofheavymetalsorrareearths,whichexhibitstrongX-rayabsorptionandscattering.Comparisonsbetweensimilarmaterials,therefore,maybemoreappropriatethanthosebetweenwidelyvaryingmaterials.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofgammaaluminaandrelatedtransitionaluminasincatalystscontainingsilicaandaluminabyX-raypowderdiffraction,usingthediffractedintensityofthepeakoccurringatabout672whencopperKradiationisemployed.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
