【摘要】:Thistestmethodincludestheuseofstaticandfatigueshearandbendingforceconditionstoevaluatethebearingretentionmechanismofamobilebearingkneedesignanditsabilitytopreventdisassociation.Ingeneral,disassociationdoesnotoccurduringactivitieswherethecontactlocationsarewithintheboundariesofthebearingsurfaces.DisassociationismostlikelytooccurwithforcesattheedgesofthebearingcomponentorwithlargeAPshearforcesonaposteriorstabilizedkneetibialcomponentpost.Extremebearingrotation,bone/bearingimpingement,severevarusorvalgusmoments,highflexionoranycombinationoftheabovecanincreasethelikelihoodofdisassociation.Thetestmethoddescribedisapplicabletoanybicompartmentalmobilebearingkneewithabearingretentionmechanism.Withmodification,thetestcanbeappliedtoaunicompartmentalmobilebearingkneewithabearingretentionmechanism.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratorymethodforevaluatingthepotentialformobilebearingkneetibialbaseplate/bearingdisassociationunderrepeatedforces.1.2Thetestdescribedisapplicabletoanybicompartmentalmobilebearingkneewithabearingretentionmechanism.Withmodification,thetestcanbeappliedtoaunicompartmentalmobilebearingkneewithabearingretentionmechanism.1.3Althoughthemethodologydescribeddoesnotreplicateallphysiologicalforceconditions,itisameansofinvitrocomparisonofmobilebearingkneedesignsandthestrengthofthebearingretentionmechanismbetweenthetibialbaseplateandbearingcomponentsunderthestatedtestconditions.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsareregardedasstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
